Fundraising News

We are really pleased to advise that #TeamESL, Jonathan and Lucy, from the ESL office team successfully completed the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 16th October.

We were delighted with our finish times of 2.02 hrs and 2.09 hrs and those aching legs so worth it knowing we have raised £925 (£1,130 with gift aid) for our three nominated charities.

TeamESL chose to sponsor the following three children's charities:

Acorns - this is ESL's local Children's Hospice based only a mile from our office, they provide fantastic support to life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people and their families.

JDRF - This charity has been chosen by Lucy, her niece and nephew have Type 1 diabetes and have done since they were toddlers. They cope remarkably well with endless blood tests and injections. This charity is working towards a cure for Type 1.

Scotty's Little Soldiers - Scotty's Little Soldiers is dedicated to supporting the children of men and women killed whilst serving in the British Armed Forces. The charity provides opportunities for the children (both now and for years to come) to smile again by offering holiday’s at its Scotty Lodges, gifts at difficult times of the year, special experiences and an amazing Christmas party. In addition the charity provides professional bereavement counselling and a range of grants to help with the children’s personal development including music lessons, swimming clubs, after school activities, driving lessons and even University tuition fees.

We are very grateful for all your support and really do appreciate it, thank you.
