ESL works directly with schools to offer a bespoke recruitment service to meet the ever changing needs and requirements of each individual school.

This includes:

  • day-to-day
  • regular assignments
  • long term
  • permanent vacancies.

As our team comprises of members who are available for same day, short & long-term, part-time and even permanent positions, we can offer a flexible solution to schools.

We understand the skills and experience schools require for temporary and permanent cover and aim to provide teachers and teaching assistants who can fulfill these needs effectively - even at short notice. As a member of the ESL team you will be thoroughly inducted on how to meet the challenges of supply work and so arrive well prepared.

Our collaborative approach works on the premise that a well supported member of our team will fully contribute to school life, ensuring that teaching and learning is a safe and secure experience.

To register with ESL you can either

  • contact the office and an application pack will be forwarded to you.
  • Complete an online application and attach an up to date CV.

What happens next?

Upon receipt of your application form and CV we will write to your referees, one of whom must be your most recent employer.  Upon receipt of one reference we will make contact with you to arrange a time of mutual convenience when we may meet and share aspirations. You will need to bring the following:

  • Original qualification
  • A working visa where applicable
  • Overseas police clearance if you have worked outside of the UK for 6 months or longer
  • Names, addresses and telephone numbers of 2 referees, where you have worked over the last 2 years. It is important that your referees are of employer/manager status. Additionally, it will assist the process if your referees have already agreed to act in support of your application. For those applicants who are newly qualified, we would ask that one of your referees be your tutor from your training establishment.
  • GTC registration number (where applicable)
  • forms of Identification – for clarification on acceptable documents please visit the DBS website or make contact with the office.

The meeting will be an in depth discussion so that we can really get to know what you want and what kind of work suits you best.
