Earlier this term we carried out a survey to establish what qualities you seek from your agency.

To summarise;

• The majority of respondents were supply teachers, 57%.

• The top 5 attributes you seek are; friendliness, regular contact, honesty, professionalism and locality of work.

• The preferred method of communication is a combination of all methods but in order; phone (voice), text and email.

• What could ESL do to enhance your experience; over-riding comment was more work, more training, regular communication and feedback.

• Finally, we asked whether there was anything further to add, responses included;

“I am very satisfied with ESL as an agency.  Staff are friendly, professional and honest which are qualities I value.  Keep up the good work.”

“Since I joined the agency the quantity of work has dropped drastically.  I was made to feel guilty for having to cancel an assignment due to an unavoidable appointment.”

“Whenever I call, I am treated very well and the staff do their best to meet the School’s supply needs.  On the one occasion that I had a complaint, the staff dealt with it very professionally.  I continue to be impressed with the professional and friendly manner of the office staff.”
