ESL are committed to ensuring that all of our teaching and support professionals meet the strictest vetting and compliance guidelines as defined by the DfE document entitled “Keeping children safe in Education”. We adhere to a strict framework for conducting pre-employment and on-going safeguarding checks as detailed below:

⦁    Professional, face to face Candidate Interview
⦁    Verification of legal right to work in the United Kingdom
⦁    Verification of qualification
⦁    Prohibition from Teaching Check with National College for Teaching & Leadership (NCTL) previously Teacher Agency Check (when appropriate)
⦁    Receipt of DBS Enhanced Disclosure with update
⦁    Receipt of overseas police clearance (if applicable)
⦁    Confirmation of two professional references
⦁    Confirmation of List 99 Clearance
⦁    Signed Disqualification by Association (Self declaration) form
