ESL understands the immense challenges that schools face on a daily basis and is committed to meeting your staffing needs. Our envied reputation has been built on our commitment to quality, attention to detail and our specialist experience and knowledge. It is our intention to provide you with the member of our supply team who will best meet your needs, every time. In the unlikely event that we are unable to meet your need in full, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity enabling you to identify an alternative source of supply.

Our office operates from 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and each Sunday from 2pm to 5.30pm during term time. During school holidays the office remains open but at reduced hours. Outside of these times should you wish to speak to a member of the office team, the telephones are transferred to the ESL Voice Mail Response Line enabling bookings and queries to be responded to with urgency.

ESL complies fully with all statutory regulations governing the provision of supply staff, with DfEE Circular 7/96 and with The Education (Teachers) (Amendment) Regulations 1999. Checking Adults who work with children. You can be certain that any member of the ESL Supply Team visiting your school has:
  • Had their qualifications verified.
  • Been cleared with the DfES and the GTC.
  • Had their identity verified.
  • Been Police cleared with the LEA or CRB.
  • Received positive responses from two professionally related sponsors.
  • Undergone the thorough ESL face to face recruitment process.
  • Received relevant and appropriate training, development and support.
In addition ESL is a full member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and is an Investor In People, demonstrating our commitment to operate ethically and to the highest standards within the recruitment industry as a whole. Indeed the Lead Assessor for Solihull and Birmingham Training and Enterprise Council (now known as the Learning Skills Council) stated:
